Terms of Service

What 1kb.bio is

1kb.bio gives you one page with your name, a short bio, a photo, and your links, at 1kb.bio/yourname.

Your account

• Sign in with Google, or with an email and password. Email accounts must confirm their email address first.
• Give a real email address. Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use 1kb.bio.

Your page and content

• You own what you put on your page. You let us store it and show it to visitors so the service works.
• Don’t use 1kb.bio for anything illegal, for scams or phishing, malware, spam, harassment, hate, sexual content involving minors, or pretending to be someone else.
• No adult or sexually explicit content, and no links to it.
• Don’t link to pages that track visitors without telling them, such as IP loggers. We block links to known ones.
• Don’t claim a username or domain to mislead people or to hold a name you have no right to.
• We may remove content, lock an account, or delete it if it breaks these rules. Message us if you think we got it wrong.
• See a page that breaks these rules? Use the Report link at the bottom of the page, or email support@1kb.bio.

Free use and Pro

• Without Pro, you can build your page in the dashboard. Pro publishes it and keeps it live.
• Pro keeps your page live, lets you connect your own domain, and lets you remove the 1kb.bio branding.
• Lifetime is one payment. Pro stays on for as long as 1kb.bio runs.
• Annual is billed once a year and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from the link in your Dodo Payments receipt email, or email us and we will cancel it. Pro stays on until the end of the year you paid for.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Taxes may be added at checkout. We never see your card details.
• Purchases made earlier through Gumroad stay valid.

Custom domains

Connect only a domain you own or control. You keep the domain registration and DNS records up to date.

The service

We work to keep 1kb.bio running and your page online, but we can’t promise it will never be down or error-free. 1kb.bio is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

If these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. Big changes are announced on the site before they apply.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email address, and a password hash if you sign up with email. With Google sign-in, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
• Your page: your username, display name, bio, photo, links, text fields, social links, page alignment, and custom domain if you add one.
• Plan and payments: your plan, its end date, the payment ID, amount, currency, and the email used to pay. Card details stay with Dodo Payments.
• Email confirmation: when we sent the confirmation and welcome emails, and when you confirmed.
• IP address: stored briefly to stop repeated sign-in and sign-up attempts.
• Server logs: errors and requests, so we can fix problems and stop abuse.

Why we use it

To sign you in, show your page, turn on Pro after you pay, send the confirmation and welcome emails, prevent abuse, and answer support requests. We don’t sell your data. We don’t use it for advertising. We send no marketing email.

What is public

While your page is live, anyone can see your username, display name, bio, photo, links, and text fields. Your email address is never shown.

Services that receive data

• Google: handles Google sign-in and sends us your name, email address, and Google account ID.
• Dodo Payments: receives your email address, name, username, and account ID when you start checkout, and handles your payment details.
• Resend: receives your email address and name or username to deliver the confirmation and welcome emails.
• Hetzner: hosts our servers and database in the European Union.
• Gumroad: only for earlier purchases made there.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie. It keeps you signed in and protects forms. It is removed when you close your browser. No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account in Settings removes your account, page, links, photo, and our payment records right away. Dodo Payments keeps its own payment records as the law requires. IP records for abuse limits are removed within 24 hours. Server logs are kept for a limited time.

Your rights

• See and fix: edit your page in the dashboard and your username in Settings. Email us for a copy of your data.
• Delete: delete your account in Settings, or email us and we will do it.
• You can also object to how we use your data or complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

1kb.bio is not for children under 16. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.

Refund Policy

• You can get a full refund within 14 days of a purchase, for both Lifetime and Annual, including an Annual renewal.
• Email support@1kb.bio from your account email, or with your username.
• The money goes back to the payment method you used, through Dodo Payments.
• A refund ends Pro for that purchase. Your page goes back to free use.
• After 14 days, payments are not refunded. You can still cancel Annual so it doesn’t renew.
